This project is inspired by our visit to the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
If you have never been to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, I really encourage you to plan a trip. It is one of the most amazing places that you can go to view and learn about ocean life. Check out their awesome website for a sneak peek into what the Aquarium has to offer. I can seriously spend hours on their site! Their Family Activities page has so many fun and educational activities for the kids. It is perfect for families who want to have fun learning about ocean life and homeschooling families doing marine biology units! (Don’t forget to peek at the live webcams!)
One of the newest discoveries is the Adorable Octopus (much like the cute little octopus in Finding Nemo!) This little creature truly lives up to its name! It is adorable!
My kids wanted an adorable octopus toy to go with their giant pacific octopus, sea turtle, and other ocean toys that i am making for them. I had already made an Adorabilis Octopus Sun Hat, but I just had to make a fun little stuffed amigurumi, too.
