This time, I went in an ever-so-slightly different direction and decided to make a headwrap.

What makes the headwrap so different from a headband? Simple. It is wider.
Yup. That's it.
This simple change makes a very stylish twist to the traditional headband. If you are making a stockpile of headbands for your craft booth, gifts, or even for yourself, you will want to be sure to include some of these headwraps in your collection!
Silt Stitch Tie Headwrap
Supplies:
Size I crochet hook
Worsted weight cotton yarn
Pattern:
ch 42
Row 1: sc in 3rd ch from hook. Turn.
Row 2: ch 1, 2 sc in first st, sc in top of tch. Turn. (3)
Row 3: ch 1, 2 sc in first st, sc 2. Turn. (4)
Row 4: ch 1, 2 sc in first st, sc 2. Turn. (5)
Row 5: ch 1, 2 sc in first st, sc 3. Turn. (6)
Row 6: ch 1, 2 sc in first st, sc 4. Turn. (7)
Row 7: ch 1, 2 sc in first st, sc 5. Turn. (8)
Row 8: ch 1, 2 sc in first st, sc 6. Turn. (9)
Row 9: ch 1, 2 sc in first st, sc 7. Turn. (10)
Row 10: ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in each st across. Turn.
Row 11: ch 1 (counts as sc), 2 d in first st, *skip 2 sts, (sc, 2dc) in next st; repeat from * to last 3 sts, skip 2 sts, sc in tch. Turn.
Row 12: ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in each st across, working last dc in tch. Turn. (10)
Rows 13-30: Repeat rows 11 & 12.
Row 31: ch 1, sc in each st across, working last sc in top of tch. Turn. (10)
Row 32: ch 1, sc2tog, sc 8, turn. (9)
Row 33: ch 1, sc2tog, sc 7, turn. (8)
Row 34: ch 1, sc2tog, sc 6, turn. (7)
Row 35: ch 1, sc2tog, sc 5. Turn. (6)
Row 36: ch 1, sc2tog, sc 4. Turn. (5)
Row 37: ch 1, sc2tog, sc 3. Turn. (4)
Row 38: ch 1, sc2tog, sc 2. Turn. (3)
Row 39: ch 1, sc2tog, sc 1. Turn. (2)
Row 40: ch 1, sc2tog. Turn. (1)
